4 Dogs Killed, 2 Other Pets Missing In Los Angeles County House Fire

Smoke and fire were showing when firefighters arrived, officials said.

TEMPLE CITY, CA — A house fire in Temple City Saturday claimed four dogs, while two pets remained missing as firefighters searched through the structure.

The fire was reported at 3:37 p.m. Saturday in the 6200 block of Olive Street, Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesman Jonathan Torres told City News Service.

Smoke and fire were showing when firefighters arrived, Torres said.

Firefighters battling flames inside the house found the four dogs deceased at 4:05 p.m., and the flames were out at 4:15 p.m., he said.

Two pets were missing, Torres said. A description of the animals was not made available.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was under investigation, he said.
