4 Youths, Age 12-14, Injured In Crash While Fleeing Police
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, deputies tried to pull the kids over but they sped away into a cinderblock wall.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Four youths were hospitalized after being trapped in the wreckage of a crash that occurred during a police chase near Boyle Heights Tuesday night.
The crash happened after the youths fled Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputies who attempted to pull the teens over. However, the underaged driver sped away and crashed into a cinder block wall on the freeway, ABC7 reported.
Paramedics were called to the Calzone Street off-ramp of the northbound Santa Ana (5) Freeway shortly before 10 p.m. Crews found the children trapped in the vehicle and used hydraulic tools to free the youths ranging in age from 12 to 14.

According to NBC4, two of the youths were in critical condition, and all four were rushed to nearby hospitals.
