  1. If you were heading down the 405 in the direction of LAX on Monday morning, you were likely sitting in traffic for about two hours. A man on the Manchester Avenue bridge going over the freeway was “walking back and forth on the bridge’s ledge, before lying down in the middle.” He was eventually taken into custody. (CBS)
  2. A large group of people rallied in front of City Hall on Saturday. They waved Ukrainian flags and showed tier solidarity with the country. “We want to show appreciation to Ukraine, to support our own nation. We feel deep emotional sorrow right now with everything that is happening right now with the war. We want to help our country as much as we want with our support emotionally, and financially," a participant said. (Fox 11)
  3. A rented 2018 Tesla S jumped the intersection of Alvarado and Baxter Streets Sunday morning right around 12:10 a.m. While it made the jump, the landing was less graceful and the Tesla ended up “skittering down the hill — hitting two parked vehicles and several trash cans on the street.” “Anybody with information on the incident was urged to contact Detective Juan Campos or Central Traffic Detectives at (213) 833-3713.” By the way, you might qualify for “awards up to $1,000 to any member of the public who provides information that may lead to the arrest, identification, conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.” (CBS)
  4. A man who may be a suspect in the Sunday shooting death of a woman in Long Beach was arrested at a Starbucks on the corner of National Boulevard and South Barrington Avenue. Between LB and L.A., the alleged suspect led the PD on a “dangerous pursuit through the West LA area where he abandoned the vehicle, fled on foot, and allegedly mugged a woman on the street.” (NBC)
  5. John Korir won the 37th Los Angeles Marathon on Sunday. The 25-year-old man from Kenya is a returning victor, who broke his own course record. “His victory Sunday makes him a back-to-back winner like his older brother Wesley, who also won back-to-back LA Marathons in 2009 and 2010.” (Press-Telegram)
