5 LA Students Evaluated For Possible Overdoses At School

Five students at Magnolia Science Academy were evaluated for overdose symptoms at the Reseda school Wednesday.

RESEDA (CNS) - Five students at a Reseda school were evaluated Monday for possible overdose-related symptoms, and two were taken to hospitals in unknown condition, fire officials said.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded shortly after 2 p.m. to Magnolia Science Academy in the 18200 block of Sherman Way on a request for "medical aid," according to the agency's Margaret Stewart. Crews on the scene reported patients with possible overdose symptoms and evaluated five patients.

Stewart said two were taken to hospitals, although their conditions were not immediately known.
