5-Year-Old Boy Dies In Apparent Accidental Shooting
The child found a gun inside a home in the Leimert Park area.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A 5-year-old boy died in an apparent accidental shooting inside a home in the Leimert Park area of Los Angeles Wednesday, according to reports.
The shooting was reported around 1:10 p.m. near 41st Drive and Van Ness Avenue, ABC7 reported.
The child was one of several in the home with a woman, possibly his adoptive mother, when the child found a gun inside the home that went off around midday, according to NBC Los Angeles.

The 5-year-old boy died after shooting himself, the Los Angeles Fire Department told ABC 7. The incident is under investigation.
