Carjacking Suspect Flees Police With Kids In Car, 6 Hurt In Chase-Ending Pileup
Six people were hurt and two were detained following a chase in Los Angeles County Tuesday afternoon.
INGLEWOOD, CA — Six people were hurt and two were detained following a chase that began in Culver City and ended with a violent collision in Inglewood.
The chase started around 10 a.m. when officers in Culver City began following a car that was associated with multiple felonies, including robbery and carjacking, and ended with a crash at the intersection of La Brea and Centinela avenues, a Culver City Police Department spokeswoman said at the scene.
The crash occurred when the man ran a red light and collided with another vehicle, KTLA reported.

The man driving the vehicle who led police on the chase, along with a woman and two children who were in the car with him, were taken to hospitals, police said.
Two other patients were also transported to local hospitals, KTLA reported.

Video from the scene showed two people being detained at gunpoint by police, KTLA reported.
