97th Academy Awards Nominees In Photos

Check out the nominees for the 97th Oscars. "Emilia Perez" snags the top spot with 13 nominations, while "Wicked" gets 10.

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA — As Oscar nominations come into light amid a string of devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, it's clear that voters are gravitating toward the feel-good films from this season's lineup. Jacques Audiard’s “Emilia Pérez,” a Spanish language, French-made film, leads the pack with 13 nominations, including best picture, best actress for Karla Sofia Gascon, supporting actress for Zoe Saldana, as well as nods for directing, original screenplay, and two of its songs.

“Wicked,” the smash Broadway adaptation, came away with nearly as many nominations. With an impressive total of 10 nominations, the musical will compete for best picture, best actress for Cynthia Erivo and best supporting actress for Ariana Grande to name a few.

Next up, "The Brutalist" also came in with a total of 10 nominations, including nods for best picture and best director, as well as acting nods for Adrien Brody, Guy Pearce and Felicity Jones in their respective categories.

The rest of the nominees for best picture include “Anora,” “A Complete Unknown,” “Conclave,” “Dune: Part Two,” “I’m Still Here.,” “Nickel Boys,” and “The Substance.”
