Amazon Driver Sexually Assaulted Girl, Woman While On Delivery Route: Police

A Los Angeles delivery driver sexually assaulted two people while on duty — and police say he may have preyed on others yet to come forward.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Authorities are searching for additional potential victims of a man who sexually assaulted a woman and a girl in two separate incidents while he was on duty as an Amazon delivery driver, according to police.

Fernando Barreto-Hernandez, 23, of Los Angeles, is accused of sexual assault in incidents that occurred recently in Glendale and Los Angeles, according to the Glendale Police Department.

On Jan. 21, a woman was walking in the area of Brand Boulevard and Chevy Chase Drive in Glendale when Barreto-Hernandez assaulted her. He was on his shift as an Amazon delivery driver at the time, police said.

Three days later, Los Angeles Police Department officers arrested Barreto-Hernandez on suspicion that he sexually assaulted a female minor while delivering Amazon packages in December, police said.

He appeared in court last month in connection to the LA incident, at which time he was arrested on charges connected to the Glendale incident. The Los Angeles County District Attorney's office subsequently filed a combination of felony and misdemeanor charges for the two cases, police said.
