Armed Domestic Violence Suspect Ends Standoff In Los Angeles County
The surrounding area was evacuated, sheriff's officials said.

HAWAIIAN GARDENS, CA — An armed man suspected of domestic violence barricaded himself inside a residence in Hawaiian Gardens for just under 12 hours while law enforcement waited outside to take him into custody, authorities said Saturday.
Special Enforcement Bureau personnel responded to the 12000 block of 226th Street, between Pioneer and Norwalk boulevards to assist Lakewood Sheriff's Station deputies who had been at a standoff with the suspect since approximately 10:50 a.m. Friday, according to the Sheriff's Information Bureau.
The surrounding area was evacuated, sheriff's officials said.

The man was taken into custody without incident at about 10:45 p.m., sheriff's officials said.
