Avra Offers Mediterranean Power Lunch Special

Avra, the sprawling Mediterranean/Greek seafood restaurant specializing in whole grilled fish, seafood and Greek delicacies, is offering a great power lunch special.

The daily special, offered from 11:30am to 4pm, offers diners a 3-course menu featuring an appetizer, main course and dessert for just $40 per person.

Diners can choose from a Greek salad; spanakopita with spinach, feta and leeks; Avra’s famous classic spreads including Tzatziki, Fava, Melintzanosalata, Tarama, Skordalia, and Htipiti served with pita bread; salmon or tuna tartare; octopus, crab cakes; the daily soup; sea bass souvlaki; or meatballs in a light tomato sauce with feta.

Main courses include a chopped salad; grilled salmon and vegetables; swordfish with warm potato salad; filet mignon; lamb chops, fish of the day; chicken with Greek oregano fries; tuna nicoise salad or pasta marinara. Desserts include baklava; a fruit plate or chocolate yogurt cheesecake.

AVRA offers diners a choice of dining overlooking swanky Beverly Drive or inside seating their huge 11,000 square foot space with a view of the big daily fresh seafood display.

Each table gets a nice appetizer of pita bread, radishes, olives and hummus. We loved that everyone got to start their meal off with a nice variety of Mediterranean inspired hors d’oeuvres. There are also great cocktails to choose from, including the Mykonos Breeze with passionfruit, vodka, velvet falernum and lemon and Meet Me in Carfu with lime, tequila, jalapeno and pineapple.
