Bomb Squad Dispatched To USC Area After 'Suspicious Item' Found: Report
A bomb squad responded to an area near the USC campus Monday afternoon, according to police.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A bomb squad was dispatched to an area north of the University of Southern California campus Monday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The investigation was centered near 30th and Hoover streets Monday afternoon. The LAPD said no threats have been received.
ABC 7 reported that police investigated a "suspicious item."

As a result of the investigation, 30th Street was closed between Hoover Street and University Avenue. The street reopened around 1 p.m. at the conclusion of the investigation, according to the USC Department of Public Safety.
Authorities have not released further details about the incident.
