Boy Struck, 'Gravely Injured' By Vehicle While Walking In LA School Parking Lot
The boy was one of six people injured in a collision involving a car and pedestrians in a school parking lot Wednesday afternoon.
STUDIO CITY, CA — A teenage boy was seriously injured Wednesday when he was struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of a Studio City high school. Five other people sustained lesser injuries in the collision, authorities said.
The collision occurred outside Campbell Hall School on the 4500 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard at around 3 p.m. Arriving firefighters found teen, described as "gravely injured," in the parking lot, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The boy and his uninjured father were transported to a local hospital, firefighters said.

Another teenage boy later reported unspecified minor injuries following the collision. He was evaluated at the scene but was not taken to a hospital.
Four others — one minor and three adults — also suffered unspecified non-life-threatening injuries connected to the crash, firefighters said.

"The Mayor's Crisis Response Team is en route to offer emotional support and recovery assistance to relatives and witnesses at the scene," the LAFD said.
The vehicle involved was a green 2025 Rivian SUV, KTLA reported.
Aerial footage captured by the station showed police and firefighters in the parking lot, where a canopy had been set up between the Rivian and a smaller white SUV.
