A brush fire burned near the interchange that connects the 5, 60, 101 and 10 freeways in Boyle Heights Thursday afternoon.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A brush fire burned two acres near the interchange that connects the 5, 60, 101 and 10 freeways in Boyle Heights Thursday afternoon, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Homes were threatened by the fire, which broke out on Soto Street, but firefighters were able to extinguish the fire within a half hour without any structures being damaged, according to the LAFD.
