Dog Found Dead In Aftermath Of Pasadena Fire

A dog was found dead in a home that burned in Pasadena early Thursday morning.

PASADENA, CA — A dog was found dead in the aftermath of a fire at a Pasadena residence early Thursday morning, according to authorities.

The fire was reported just before 2:30 a.m. on the 100 block of Harkness Avenue. The fire, located inside a converted garage on the property, produced heavy smoke. The fire threatened to spread to the main home, which was evacuated by residents, according to the Pasadena Fire Department.

There was minor spread of the fire to a shed and the main house.

Firefighters found the dead dog inside the converted garage during their secondary search of the property, authorities said.
