Dogs Invited To Swim In LA County Pools On Labor Day

LOS ANGELES, CA — Got a pooch who loves the pool? Dogs are invited to swim at eight Los Angeles County public pools on Labor Day with the return of the annual Pooches in the Pool event.

Canines are invited to paddle in the pools before they are drained for the season — unfortunately, for safety reasons, humans won't be able to join them.

The pools will be open to small dogs from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., and large dogs can swim from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Dog owners will need to present current licensing and vaccinations, as well as fill out a form before their furry friends can swim.

Locations open for the Pooches in the Pool event are below:

• Los Angeles: City Terrace Park, 1126 N. Hazard Ave.
• Cerritos: Don Knabe Community Regional Park, 19700 S. Bloomfield Ave.
• Sylmar: El Cariso Community Regional Park, 13100 Hubbard St.
• Littlerock: Everett Martin Park, 35548 N. 92nd St. E.
• Quartz Hill: George Lane Park, 5520 W. Ave. L8
• Granada Hills: Knollwood Country Club, 12040 Balboa Blvd.
• Altadena: Loma Alta Park, 3330 Lincoln Ave.
• Carson: Victoria Regional Community Park, 419 Martin Luther King Jr. St.
