Famous Singer's Mom Scares Off Home Invasion Burglars: Report

The woman was home during the time of the home invasion, according to NBC 4.

LOS ANGELES, CA — The mother of musician Benny Blanco scared off intruders who broke into her San Fernando Valley home Monday, according to a report.

The Los Angeles Police Department would not confirm the identity of the woman in the home, saying only that a break-in occurred around 9:30 p.m. Monday at a home in the 4100 block of Shadyglade Avenue in Studio City, and that the suspects fled before police arrived.

NBC 4 reported that the home belongs to Blanco's mother, Sandra Levin. Blanco is married to actress/singer Selena Gomez.

After two men broke into Levin's home through a sliding glass door, she ran upstairs and locked herself in an en-suite bathroom. The intruders walked upstairs and opened the bedroom door, NBC 4 reported.

Levin peeked out of the bathroom door; the intruders saw her and ran off, according to the station.

No injuries were reported and nothing is believed to have been taken from the home.
