Fire Breaks Out At Crypto.com Arena: Officials
The Los Angeles Fire Department knocked down the flames but say an "extensive water removal operation" was needed.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A structure fire was reported and knocked down at the Crypto.com Arena Saturday, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The LAFD said the fire broke out at 4:45 p.m. at the facility, located on S. Figueroa Street.
"With a significant decrease in visible smoke (in a kitchen area), firefighters are working to isolate the source (possibly within the piping)," officials said. "There is no visible, active fire."

The LAFD added that there were fire sprinkler activations on the first and second floors, which required an extensive water removal operation.
"Please avoid the area at Figueroa and 12th," officials said.
