Hit-And-Run Driver Abandons His Car After Fatally Striking LA Pedestrian: Police
A man suspected of fatally striking a pedestrian remains at large after abandoning his car and fleeing on foot, police said.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Police are searching for a man who abandoned his car and fled on foot after fatally striking a woman who was crossing the street in North Hollywood Friday night, the Los Angeles Police Department said on Sunday.
The collision occurred at around 7 p.m. at Victory Boulevard and Beck Avenue. A woman in her late 20s was crossing Victory Boulevard in a crosswalk when she was struck by a Toyota Corolla that was traveling westbound, police said.
The Corolla continued westbound without stopping and was later found abounded along the curb on Victory Boulevard, east of Troost Avenue, police said.

The Corolla driver, described as a man in his 50s, fled from the car on foot, police said.
The woman was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police sad.
