Hot Days Ahead | More Migrant Buses | 4 Shot At Party: SoCal In Brief

Took a break from the news this weekend? Worry not: we've rounded up some of the stories you missed in SoCal on Saturday and Sunday.

LOS ANGELES — As the weekend wraps, we've rounded up some of the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.

But before we jump into SoCal's other top stories: Forecasters expect Santa Ana winds will fuel SoCal's latest heat wave, with temperatures set to run well above normal starting around mid-week. The combination of heat, wind, and low humidity may create elevated fire risks across the region.

"Temperatures in the valleys and inland coastal areas will reach well into the 90s, and even the immediate coast will get into the 80s Wednesday through Saturday," NWS San Diego forecasters wrote Sunday. "This is about 10 to 15 degrees above average for those areas. With the stronger offshore winds, warmer temperatures, and lower humidity, we could see some brief elevated fire weather conditions for late next week."
