SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA — Without community leaders, Santa Fe Springs wouldn’t hum along nearly as smoothly as it does. We’d miss their contributions in big and small ways.

Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to recognize these often unsung community leaders and celebrate their contributions.

Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored?

Juan took a very small agency in the community and built it to become a leader in L.A. County for behavioral health equity for people experiencing homelessness, persons involved with the justice system, the LGBTQ+ community, and persons of color. His leadership was key in doing this.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the community hero?

Juan is too humble, but he is a true community leader.
