Kobe Bryant Mural Vandalized Again, Just Days After It Was Restored
The mural honoring Bryant and his daughter was just restored after being defaced in April. Now, it's been vandalized again.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A mural depicting the late Laker legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna has been vandalized with graffiti again, just days after it was restored from previous vandalism.
The mural, titled "Mambas Forever," is on the side of a building at the corner of 14th and Main streets, the work of artist Sloe Motions, whose real name is Louie Palsino.
Palsino created the mural as a tribute to Bryant and his daughter after they and seven others were killed in a 2020 helicopter crash in Calabasas.

The mural was first vandalized in April, when somebody spray-painted graffiti across most of the mural, which shows Bryant kissing his daughter's head. Palsino created a GoFundMe page to cover the costs of repairing the mural, and Lakers star Luka Dončić quickly donated the full $5,000 amount needed for the work.
Palsino completed the restoration in a month. Less than a week after that, the mural was vandalized again.

Today, the piece is largely covered again by white spray paint, as shown in photos posted by KTLA.
Palsino told CBS2 he was disappointed to see it vandalized again.
"Kobe has brought nothing but light and insight and inspiration to the youth," he told the station.
