1. The city of Los Angeles is receiving about $23.7 million for improvements and the Los Angeles Neighborhood Land Trust will receive $6.9 million. 5 parks will split the state funds. The funding is being distributed across California. (Los Angeles Patch)

2. An anti-Semitic poster has shown up after several others in the Fairfax District. The poster has been taken down. It comes as some 200 fliers were found in Pasadena and Beverly Hills this past weekend. (NBC Los Angeles)

3. L.A.'s hospitality industry is wary of returning to COVID-19 restrictions imposed during past COVID waves as the Omicron variant surges. Some business owners are reacting immediately while others are taking a wait-and-see approach. (The Hollywood Reporter)

4. A judge ruled on Tuesday that LA will not have to pay firefighters who refuse vaccine during termination proceedings. The group argued unsuccessfully that the city violated their members’ constitutionally protected right to privacy. (Los Angeles Daily News)

5. The California State University (CSU) system will require all students, faculty and staff members to get their COVID-19 booster shot for the spring 2022 semester. Students, faculty and staff members will need to get and report their booster dose by February 28, 2022, or six months after receiving their original vaccine. (ABC 7)
