Large Tree Falls on House and Power Lines in Brentwood Area

A home suffered major damage and several power poles were taken down, knocking out power in the area.

BRENTWOOD, CA — A large eucalyptus tree fell onto a house and some power lines in the Brentwood area Tuesday, resulting in an outage but no injuries.

Firefighters were sent to the 600 block of North Bundy Drive about 6 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Several power poles were damaged, and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and the Los Angeles Department of Transportation were notified, the LAFD reported.

About 2,000 customers were without electrical service, and the roadway was blocked, according to Fox11.

The homeowner told Fox11 that he had reported his concern about the tree to the city more than a year ago, but that no action had been taken. Some vehicles reportedly also were damaged.
