LOS ANGELES, CA — Immigration protests continued for a fourth day in Los Angeles as president Trump deployed the National Guard, and the U.S. Marines. Initially, the president ordered 2,000 troops to arrive on Sunday, the most violent day during the three days of protests.
As of Tuesday, president Trump has ordered another 2,000 Guard troops along with 700 Marines, only further escalating military presence which has been condemned by Gov. Gavin Newson, local police officials and congressional leaders.
As per AP News, Monday's demonstrations were far less violent as thousands peacefully attended a rally at City Hall and hundreds protested outside a federal complex where some immigrants are being held following workplace raids across LA.

Mayor Karen Bass and Newsom have both denounced president Trump's claims that the city is in dire terms, saying his statements are far from the truth.
“This isn’t about public safety,” Newsom said. “It’s about stroking a dangerous President’s ego.”
