Man Hits Woman With Car, Then Stabs Her Before Fleeing On Foot

CANOGA PARK, CA — A man struck a woman with a car and then stabbed her in Canoga Park, leaving her in critical condition, authorities said Sunday.

Police received a call around 5 p.m. Saturday reporting an assault with a deadly weapon near Cohasset Street and Jordan Avenue, just south of Saticoy Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Police said the man rammed into the woman in a grey sedan, then got out of the car and stabbed her before fleeing on foot.

The victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition. The suspect was still at large, and was last seen wearing a red camouflage jacket.

The motive for the attack was not immediately clear.
