Monrovia's Free Concert Series Reaches Summer Finale This Weekend

The Concerts in the Park series reaches its climax Saturday and Sunday in Monrovia.

MONROVIA, CA — Monrovia's summer concert series is coming to an end this weekend, but it will go out with a bang.

The free, family-friendly event has two more performances left before going quiet for the year, Monrovia officials said.

The Answer, a classic rock band, will play Saturday at Station Square Amphitheater from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Night Owl, a top 40 band, will play Sunday at Library Park's Rotary Club Bandshell from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Residents are encouraged to bring their own picnic blankets or lawn chairs to the concerts to sit on the parks' grounds.

After the concert series, the city will hold two Movies in the Park event later this month at Recreation Park. "Trolls World Tour" will be screened on Aug. 21, while "Onward" will be shown on Aug. 28.

Station Square Park is located at 1601 S. Myrtle Ave. and Library Park is located at 321 S. Myrtle Ave. Recreation Park is located at 620 S. Shamrock Ave.
