Naked Trespasser Killed By 79-Year-Old Coming To Neighbors' Aid: LAPD

According to police, a naked man broke into the home of two women in Studio City and then tackled their elderly neighbor.

STUDIO CITY, CA — A naked intruder was shot to death by a 79-year-old landlord who came to the rescue of two women in Studio City, according to police and Eyewitness News.

The fatal shooting happened at about 7:10 a.m. Friday in the 4540 block of North Tujunga Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The intruder, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene, said Los Angeles Police Department Officer Rosario Cervantes.

The landlord suffered two broken legs when the naked intruder body-slammed him, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department and ABC7.

The intruder entered the home of two women, who yelled at the intruder to leave and screamed for help, according to the LAPD. A neighbor came to their rescue, and that is when the struggle ensued, said Cervantes. With the naked gunman on top of him, the 79-year-old shot the intruder three times, killing him, Cervantes confirmed.

The case is being investigated as a residential burglary and self-defense shooting, according to the LAPD.

"I heard commotion, like a lady yelling," an unnamed witness told ABC7. "Then I looked over and it was a naked guy. At first, I thought it was just like, maybe it's a house fire. Like, why is he out here naked? There was an older guy in the home. The naked guy was walking through their gate, and shots were fired. I heard one shot. Then I looked over, and the naked guy was on the ground. The older guy was on the ground and shot him two more times."
