A package exploded inside a UPS truck driving through Los Angeles Thursday morning, according to a report.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A package exploded inside a delivery truck in the San Fernando Valley Thursday morning, prompting a police investigation, according to a report.

The explosion happened around 10:15 a.m. in Winnetka. The UPS driver was driving near the intersection of Winnetka Avenue and Runnymede Street when a package abruptly exploded, KTLA reported.

The driver told paramedics that he inhaled an unknown substance following the blast, which prompted the response of a hazmat crew, according to KTLA.
