Pocket Bike-Riding Boy Killed In Crash With Full-Sized Motorcycle: LASD
A boy riding a mini motorcycle — which was not street legal — was killed in a crash on an LA County street.
PALMDALE, CA — A boy riding a miniature motorcycle died after colliding with a full-sized Harley-Davidson in Palmdale this week.
The boy was riding the pocket bike northeast on Avenue L-8 when he crossed 20th Street East at around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
At the same time, a man was riding a Harley northbound on 20th Street East, approaching Avenue L-8. The motorcycle struck the pocket bike in the northbound lane, deputies said.

The boy died from his injuries at the scene. The Harley driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital, deputies said.
The pocket bike did not have a headlight or taillight, deputies said. The sun had set nearly two hours before the crash.
