Police Chase Suspects Make A Stop In Koreatown During Pursuit From DTLA To Valley

The suspects made a stop in Koreatown in the middle of the pursuit Thursday afternoon.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Several people were taken into custody in the San Fernando Valley Thursday afternoon at the conclusion of an hour-long police chase that began near downtown Los Angeles and involved people entering and exiting multiple vehicles during the pursuit, according to reports.

Authorities began pursuing the Ford sedan at around 2 p.m. west of downtown; police said the driver is accused of stealing the car, KTLA reported.

The car drove on dangerous speeds through major thoroughfares, including Olympic Boulevard, and at one point stopped in Koreatown. During the stop, the driver and a passenger exited the car and ran toward a building. They returned to the vehicle within seconds, according to the report.

The car eventually made it to the 101 Freeway and exited onto the 405 Freeway. By 3:20 p.m., the driver was on surface streets in the Valley.

The driver of the Ford, along with a passenger, exited the car at Vanowen Street and Hesperia Avenue. A passenger in the SUV also exited that vehicle, as if to chase after the occupants of the Ford, KTLA reported.

All three people were taken into custody.
