Rams Win Ndamukong Suh Sweepstakes

The LA Rams pulled off an off-season upset, signing five time Pro Bowler Ndamukong Suh.

LOS ANGELES, CA — The Los Angeles Rams announced Monday they have signed defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, a five-time Pro Bowl selection in his eight seasons in the NFL, to a one-year contract.

Since entering the league in 2010, Suh, 31, leads all interior defensive linemen with 55.0 stuffs, a tackle of a ball carrier behind the line of scrimmage, and is second among all defensive tackles in quarterback sacks with 51.5.

The 6-foot, 4-inch, 305-pound Suh played with the Miami Dolphins the past three seasons, making 181 tackles and 15.5 sacks in 48 games. He was selected for the Pro Bowl for the 2016 season and was the team's MVP for the 2017 season.

Suh was chosen by the Detroit Lions with the second pick in the 2010 draft and selected to the Pro Bowl as a rookie. Suh played with the Lions through the 2014 season, then signed with the Dolphins as an unrestricted free agent.

Suh was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. His mother, Bernadette, is from Jamaica, while his father, Michael, is from Cameroon. In the Ngema tribe in Cameroon, Ndamukong means "House of Spears."

Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

The Rams also announced the signing of linebacker Ramik Wilson, who played the past three seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, starting 17 games.
