LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA — Heavy metal pioneer and icon Ozzy Osbourne died Tuesday at the age of 76. The musician, who revealed he had Parkinson's disease back in 2020, passed just weeks after performing his farewell show.

Forever remembered as the lead singer of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath and later an early reality TV star with the hit "The Osbournes," his death prompted an outpouring of memorials across the entertainment industry.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time,” a family statement from Birmingham, England, said.
