  1. We learned Sunday that actor William Hurt has died at the age of 71. Fans loved him in, among other movies, “A.I. Artificial Intelligence,” “Avengers: Endgame,” “Avengers: Infinity War,” and “Captain America: Civil War.” He was also a force to be reckoned with on the stage, where he appeared in “Henry V” and “Richard II.” (CBS)
  2. A 52-year-old man was murdered Saturday while walking his dog at 5 a.m.“near the corner of Genesee Avenue and Saturn Street.” The victim got into a verbal altercation with an individual who got out of a car. (NBC)
  3. Actress Brooke Shields has moved out of her alpine-inspired, 1982 Pacific Palisades house. Listed for $8.195 million, the actress accepted $7.145 million, we learned Sunday. The gorgeous home features a wraparound porch, exposed iron, and gorgeous textured ceilings. (American Luxury)
  4. A Sunday report reveals that in 2020, 1,383 individuals experiencing homelessness died. In 2021, the number went up to 1,612. The leading cause of death was an accidental drug overdose. In comparison, in 2014, 630 individuals in this group died. “The average age of unhoused individuals who died in the region between March 2020 and July 2021 was 47.” (Patch)
  5. The Invisible Collection is a luxury design pop-up that will run through Saturday. You can see it at Sotheby’s on Camden Drive.
