Motorist Shot In Head While Driving In Los Angeles County

A motorist was shot in the head while he was driving through a Los Angeles neighborhood Friday, police said.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A motorist is in critical condition after he was shot in the head while driving through a South Los Angeles neighborhood early Friday morning, according to police.

Officers responded to a call about shots fired at 12:15 a.m. at 1046 W. Martin Luther King Blvd., west of Vermont Avenue, where they found the victim sitting in a car with a gunshot wound to his head, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

The victim was apparently driving when he was shot, and subsequently crashed into two parked cars, KTLA reported.

The victim, described as a Hispanic man in his 50s, was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, KTLA reported.

Police have not released a description of any suspects.
