The California Highway Patrol issued SigAlerts for the 210 Freeway and the 134/5 Freeway connector Tuesday morning.

LOS ANGELES, CA — An overturned box truck prompted the California Highway Patrol to issue a SigAlert for westbound Foothill (210) Freeway in Pasadena Tuesday morning.

The crash was blocking the HOV lane and three additional lanes at the Sierra Madre Villa Avenue exit in Pasadena as of 5:30 a.m. The CHP estimated the cleanup work would continue for two hours. Motorists are advised to avoid the area or seek alternate routes.

The crash is one of several SigAlerts issued during the morning rush hour amid intense storm conditions. The CHP also issued a SigAlert for the closure of three lanes of the connector road from the westbound Ventura (134) Freeway to the northbound Sacramento (5) Freeway near Glendale for three hours just before 5 a.m. due to a collision.
