Six-Year-Old Boy Critically Wounded By Stray Bullet In South LA
The child was celebrating Independence Day with his family when he was struck by a stray bullet and hospitalized in critical condition.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A 6-year-old boy was in the hospital Wednesday morning in critical condition after he was struck by a stray bullet while celebrating Independence Day in Historic South-Central Los Angeles.
The shooting was reported at 8:50 p.m. Tuesday in the 700 block of East 40th Place, according to Los Angeles police Officer Rosario Cervantes.
His parents started to take him to a hospital but flagged down officers who summoned paramedics, Cervantes said.
