Skateboarder At Large After Stealing Classic Corvette: LAPD
A man carrying a skateboard walked into an underground parking garage and stole a 1958 Corvette, police said.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Police are asking for the public's help identifying a man who stole a classic Corvette after walking into an underground parking garage while carrying a skateboard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The theft occurred Sept. 4 at around 8:40 p.m. in a garage on Olympic Boulevard, just west of Bundy Drive. The suspect entered the victim's unlocked 1958 Chevrolet Corvette and drove off, fleeing the garage, police said.

The suspect is described as a white man, between 6-feet and 6-foot-1 tall and between 25 and 30 years old. He was seen wearing a gray t-shirt, dark shorts, gray/white shoes, a black backpack and was carrying a skateboard, police said.

The Corvette is light blue and has Rhode Island License plate number 1KJ358.
