LOS ANGELES, CA —Small business owners in Los Angeles are once again encouraged to apply for coronavirus relief funds. The county relaunched their Small Business Revitalization Grant Program today, aimed to help businesses struggling to stay afloat through mandated closures.

Applicants can receive $30,000 for employee payroll, working capital, outstanding payments or other relevant expenses. Grants are open to businesses within the city of Los Angeles, unlike the first round. Priority consideration will be given to businesses in L.A. County that are not in the city of Los Angeles.

Businesses that have received assistance from other CARES Act or COVID-funded programs will not be able to receive a grant

The Board of Supervisors created the program to assist businesses that were ordered closed due to the pandemic, such as breweries and wineries without kitchens, batting cages, miniature golf parks, kart racing centers and tanning salons. Funds were allocated from federal Coronavirus aid, relief and economic security act funds.

"Without another federal stimulus package on the horizon, it has fallen to Los Angeles County to do what we can to support local small businesses," Supervisor Janice Hahn said. "We aren't going to turn our backs on communities during this crisis."
