Smoke Seen Coming Out Of Redondo Beach Power Plant
Residents were concerned after smoke was seen coming out of the AES power plant in Redondo Beach.

REDONDO BEACH, CA — Smoke was seen billowing out of the AES power plant in Redondo Beach Thursday afternoon after a main boiler fan failed, officials said.
Soem residents were alarmed, but the smoke quickly cleared. No one was injured and no fires were reported, according to AES representative Dalia Gomez.
"It's under control," Gomez told Patch around 3:30 p.m. Gomez said she will report back to Patch after she gets more information about the incident.

AES Power Plant officials notified the Redondo Beach Fire Department and South Coast Air Quality Management District, according to Gomez.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
