SoCal Restaurants Lost In Eaton, Palisades Wildfires: A Running List
At least 10 restaurants in Malibu and Altadena have been destroyed, while dozens more have closed due to power outages and safety concerns.

LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CA — Two out-of-control wildfires burning roughly 36 miles apart in Los Angeles County have devastated not only countless homes but also cherished cafes, bars and restaurants since igniting on Tuesday.
Many structures that housed landmark eateries in Malibu and Altadena have been leveled. Meanwhile, management at many other eateries inside the fire zones and in surrounding areas decided to close their doors willingly and send employees home. Neto's Cafe in Santa Monica was among them.
"Our family is keeping our community and the other communities [affected] by the fires in our prayers," owners wrote on Instagram. "Neto’s Cafe will be closed until further notice. Stay safe everybody"

The devastating fires have taken a heavy toll on Malibu's iconic coastline and Altadena's bustling Lake Avenue, ravaging popular establishments in their path.
Beloved seaside restaurant and surf bar, Dukes Malibu, was still standing, as of Wednesday morning, according to the restaurant. The owners said they had also repurposed the eatery's parking lot as a staging area for fire officials due to the lot's size and central location.

"The firefighters treated burn victims from the local area," an Instagram post read on Wednesday. "Thanks to our incredible firefighters, as of this morning (1/8), Duke's is still standing. The situation is unstable and still very dangerous. Please keep our ohana and everyone affected by this tragedy in your prayers."
Here's a running list of every L.A. County eatery we could find that has reportedly been destroyed.
Altadena
"We are devastated, [Cafe De Leche] Altadena did not survive the fires," owners wrote on Instagram. "We will rebuild stronger. Thank you for all your kind words."
Malibu
- Reel Inn: An iconic 36-year-old seafood restaurant located along Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, known for its recognizable neon sign, fresh fish and kitschy beach shack vibe.
“All of our staff are safe,” Reel Inn owners wrote on Instagram. “We are so grateful for the 36 years we’ve been a part of the community. Grateful to all of our customers. We are heartbroken and unsure what will be left. Hopefully the state parks will let us rebuild when the dust settles.”
- Cholada Thai: Just a few minutes up the road on PCH from Reel Inn was Cholada Thai, a cherished beachside sit-down offering traditional Thai cuisine since the 1990s.
- Rosenthal Wine Bar & Patio: Located between Reel In and Cholada Thai was Rosenthal, which frequently hosted food trucks and live performers.
- Moonshadow's Malibu: The beautiful seaside bar burned down, according to te owner's wife on Instagram.
Neptune's Net, a famous watering hole in that has appeared in films "Point Break," "Iron Man 3" and the first "Fast and the Furious," reported that it was safe from the Palisades Fire as of 3:40 p.m. Operates wrote on Instagram that the restaurant had lost power.
"We are safe so far for now! Thank you to first responders and please give extra love to the Palisades folks who lost everything!" a Wednesday afternoon post read.
