SoCal Ski Resort Opens For The Season
Mountain High, located 90 minutes from LA, opens for the ski season this week.

WRIGHTWOOD, CA — Mountain High this week officially opened for the ski season with a base depth of 24 inches of snow.
The resort, located about 90 minutes from Los Angeles, opened Thursday morning for pass holders. The general public will be welcomed for the first time on Friday during the day and for night riding, according to the resort.
On Thursday, four lifts were open, serving two top-to-bottom trails, with skiing and riding for beginner to intermediate levels. Half a dozen terrain features were also open.

The forecast high for the resort was 44 degrees Thursday, with a low of 30 degrees. The resort has seen no snow over the last week, but boasts a top depth of 36 inches and a base depth of 24 inches, according to Mountain High.
