The Rams entered the season with championship expectations after trading for veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford in the offseason. Los Angeles went 12-5 in the regular season to win the NFC West before defeating the Arizona Cardinals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and 49ers in the playoffs.
The Bengals weren't included in many playoff predictions, much less favorites to get to the Super Bowl. Led by second-year quarterback Joe Burrow's breakout season, Cincinnati went 10-7 to earn a wild card spot before going on a shocking playoff run with wins over the Las Vegas Raiders, Tennessee Titans and Chiefs.
