Teen Killed In Broad-Daylight Shooting In Valley: LAPD

A teenager was fatally shot on a busy North Hollywood street Tuesday afternoon, police said.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — A teenager was fatally shot in broad daylight Tuesday afternoon on a busy North Hollywood street and police are searching for the people or person responsible, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Police responded to the intersection of Vanowen Street and Ethel Avenue, just west of Coldwater Canyon Avenue, Tuesday at around 1:30 p.m. after receiving multiple calls about a shooting in the area. When officers arrived, they found the victim on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound, police said.

Paramedics pronounced the victim dead. He was identified as Jorge Ramos, 19, of North Hollywood, police said.

Police have no information about a potential suspect or suspects.
