Teenager Identified In Fatal East Los Angeles Stabbing

Police have not found a suspect in the fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old boy, L.A. authorities said.

EAST LOS ANGELES, CA — A 17-year-old boy who was found dead from a stabbing in an East Los Angeles park was identified by the Los Angeles County coroner's office.

Jaime Castellano Jr. was identified as the victim, the coroner's office said.

Deputies were dispatched to the 4900 block of East Cesar Chavez Avenue on Thursday around 5 a.m., according to Deputy Michael Chen of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Information Bureau.

Arriving officers found the Castellano lying on the ground unresponsive and suffering from a stab wound.

On Saturday, Chen said there was no suspect or suspect vehicle. The murder weapon also remains outstanding, he said.
