LOS ANGELES — As the weekend wraps up, we've rounded up all the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.

But before we jump into Southern California’s top stories, the warming trend will continue across the Golden State this week, hitting the 80s around Los Angeles and sticking in the 70s around San Diego. There is a chance for a few thunderstorms developing mid-week, with a few more shots for moisture arriving on its heels.

Catching up on the weekend: Riverside County is mourning a deputy who died over the weekend after a crash while responding to a call, and police in Los Angeles said a man who died during a struggle with officers died from his own gun.
