USC Student Allegedly Raped by Lyft Driver Near Campus
An investigation continues today into an alleged rape by a Lyft driver of a USC student outside her apartment near the university.
LOS ANGELES -- An investigation was continuing today into an alleged rape by a Lyft driver of a USC student outside her apartment near the University Park campus.
The alleged assault occurred about 3 a.m. Wednesday in the 3600 block of South Grand Avenue, according to the USC Department of Public Safety.
``A female student took a Lyft ride from a club in West Hollywood to her apartment near the University Park Campus,'' the DPS said in a crime alert.

``When they arrived at her apartment, the Lyft driver raped the student in his car.''
The vehicle was described as a black sedan. The suspect was described as about 25-35 years old, with black hair, a black beard and a thin build.
