When they arrived, they found one woman walking down the street, leaving a blood trail from multiple cut and stab wounds. She laid down her sword and put her arms in the air when she saw the deputies. She took deputies inside a house where they found another woman suffering from severe stab wounds, the department said.
The woman inside the house was pronounced dead at the scene, and the first woman was taken to a hospital in an unknown condition. A third woman at the home was unharmed but suffered a medical emergency, reportedly a heart attack, according to KTLA.
It was unclear what prompted the attack.
