  1. There is scuttlebutt that the Off Vine Restaurant in Hollywood will be torn down to make room for condos. We heard Sunday that construction could begin in “a little over a year.” “Go while you can to experience this little piece of Hollywood history.” (Facebook)
  2. Getting around near LAX Terminal 1 is just a little more difficult. The “upper/departures and lower/arrivals levels of World Way will be closed . . . for varying times between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. to facilitate construction of a pedestrian bridge over the roadway.” This process will continue until March 4. (Patch)
  3. There was an abduction on North McCadden Place and Santa Monica Boulevard around 9:11 a.m., Friday. The abductee is “a 20 to 30-year-old Black woman with black hair and last seen wearing a pink jacket and black Nike sweatpants.” A man forced her into a vehicle with the “temporary license plate of BM97F34.” (Canyon News)
  4. 'Angkor: The Lost Empire of Cambodia' premiered at the California Science Center, we learned Sunday. “The exhibit combines science with interactive areas to explore and learn.” (ABC)
  5. El Granjero Cantina has opened on The Plaza at the Original Farmers Market in what used to be the Ulysses Village space. It is quickly becoming the go-to location for custom cocktails and traditional dishes. Check out the salads. They include “Caesar with whole Romaine lettuce leaves, sunflower seeds, breadcrumbs, and cured egg yolk and a kale salad with avocado cheese, corn and black bean salsa and pickles. Diners can choose between two huge quesadillas, a cheese and a hibiscus with sautéed hibiscus flowers.” (Patch)
