Weekend Storms Could Dump 2 Inches Of Rain On SoCal
It's set to be a wet weekend no matter where you are in Southern California as several storm systems are expected to hit the region.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Several storms are expected to move into Southern California over the next week, bringing a high chance of rain that could be potentially heavy at times, according to the National Weather Service.
The first system moves into the region Wednesday, where breezy winds and seasonably average temperatures are likely across SoCal. There's a slight chance of some light rain Wednesday in the eastern Los Angeles County foothills. It's expected to remain dry in the Inland Empire, Orange County and San Diego with gusts of up to 50 mph in the mountains, according to the NWS.
However, the weather should shift dramatically Friday as periods of rain, potentially heavy at times, are likely through Monday morning thanks to two or three storm systems that may hit the region. The NWS expects a 40 to 70 percent chance of rain in Los Angeles County Saturday afternoon; accumulation should be a half-inch or less that day.

The NWS says that it's still early to have the most accurate predictions of rainfall totals, forecasters say they'll update their forecast closer to the weekend.
"Rainfall will likely come to an end for most areas sometime Monday to early Tuesday," NWS said. "Active weather may return for the middle part of next week, but if it does, it would likely be a colder and more moisture limited system."
