Woman Killed By Train In Los Angeles

The woman was struck by an Amtrak train.

SUN VALLEY, CA — A woman died Sunday when she was struck by a train in the Sun Valley area of Los Angeles.

The woman was struck by an Amtrak train at 7:05 p.m. Sunday at 7425 N. Coldwater Canyon Ave., at Raymer Street, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, Stewart said.

No injuries were reported aboard the train, she said.

The woman was believed to have been about 45 years old, Stewart said. Her name was not released.
